Bluebean Pride Cindy Jimenez
In the world of our business process outsourcing (BPO) operations floor, where a disharmony of service and support voices combine, one distinct voice has risen above the rest for the second consecutive year. The honor of 2023 Agent of the Year has been given to this individual whose dedication and excellence set a benchmark for her peers. This award, which she also achieved in 2022, is rare in an industry known for excellent workers and fierce competition.
Ms. Cindy H. Jimenez, our back-to-back Blue Caduceus awardee, was a proud member of Team Nike, a group that made up our Emo (telco telesales) account back in 2022. For 2023, she had established herself as a valuable member of Team Hemera for our Blues (credit card telesales) account. Having won the award in the past, Cindy was not expecting to be honored with this exclusive award again, let alone for the second consecutive year. For she considers all her workmates as good and as dedicated as she, and she doesn’t really think of her work and back-to-back awards as a competition.
Pag trabaho, trabaho lang, laging mag-focus sa lahat ng ginagawa. At huwag na huwag matakot na magtanong dahil isa yun sa mga bagay kung bakit tayo natututo.
“Masaya. Pero and at the same time, sobrang nagulat. Kasi di ko talaga in-expect na mauulit yon. For year 2022, ibang-iba siya kasi wala talaga akong experience sa pagtatawag since first job ko ito sa BPO. And for the year 2023, nung nalipat ako ng ibang account, may naging adjustment din. Pero sa pagtatawag, hindi na ganun kahirap since nagkaroon na ako ng experience dito,” she stated.
Part of Cindy’s success, she attributes to just focusing on the job, to not be afraid to ask in order to accomplish the work at hand. This has allowed her to always stay at the top of her game.
“Lagi ko lang sinasabi sa sarili ko na pag trabaho, trabaho lang, [na] laging mag-focus sa lahat ng ginagawa. At huwag na huwag matakot na magtanong dahil isa yun sa mga bagay kung bakit tayo natututo. At yan yung ginagawa ko kaya, hanggang ngayon, nandito pa rin po ako.”
To Cindy, her commitment to continuously improve and excel is rooted on gratitude. She is grateful to those who have had faith and trust in her competence, particularly towards the one she considers her idol.
“Dito sa Bluebean, nung naging idol ko si [team lead] Sir Kollin (Marc Kollin Picadizo), lagi niya sinasabi sa akin na nakikita niya yung sarili niya sakin. And then lagi niyang sinasabi din sakin na huwag ko daw siyang pantayan. So gusto niya, mas higitan ko pa daw kung ano yung narating niya. So yun yung naging reason kung bakit nag-push ako para mas lalo pang galingan at mas lalo pang mag-improve.”
Kollin holds the same admiration for his protégé. “Si Cindy, pagdating sa trabaho dalawa: isang seryoso at isang maingat. Seryoso pagdating sa trabaho, na talagang walang sinasayang na oras. Kung ano yung kailangan gawin, ginagawa na niya. [At] maingat pagdating sa quality niya. Iniisip niya na ‘di dapat nagkakamali pagdating sa trabaho. Kasi gusto niya perpekto yung ginagawa niya, [and] at the same time inaalagaan niya na kailangan na siya yung nasa taas talaga.”
Having achieved this milestone in her career, Cindy advises her peers and those who are just starting to always think of a reason or purpose why they work. “Siguro, lagi lang natin isipin kung para saan at para kanino yung ginagawa natin. Gawin lang natin kung ano yung tama, i-apply ang natutunan–lalo na po pagdating sa trabaho—dahil in the end, magagamit din po natin ito kahit saan tayo magpunta. And at the same time, maituturo at mase-share din natin sa iba.”
